Calculating the electricity needs of solar panels
I was learning the use of solar panels at home, which turned out to be quite expensive as well as an investment.
The solar panel infrastructure is
1. Solar panels
2. Cable
3. Charger controller
4. Battery (special) as a power bank
5. 1 Inverter, if you need 220v AC power
Short:
AC: Alternating Current, 220v home electric current.
DC: Direct Current, electric current ±, like in a battery, positive and negative must match.
No. 1-4 the number as needed.
No. 5 Watts as needed, it's better to look for a pure sinewave inverter. More expensive but
It would be easier if the infrastructure all used DC electricity, at least the lights.
For electricity storage, use a special solar panel battery (VRLA/DeepCycle), where 80% of the contents can be used, in contrast to motorcycle/car batteries where usually only 50% can be used.
So if you buy a 100AH battery, you can use as much as 80AH (Ampere/Hour),
how long can 80AH last?
Let's change it to Watt first.
If the battery voltage is 12V.
Then 80 x 12 = 960Watt
The electricity required is 100 Watts, such as 10 lamps.
Then 960 : 100 = 9.6 hours
The battery will run out after 9.6 hours
It took 2 batteries to run 12 hours in the afternoon until the morning.
Voltage x Ampere = Watt
Assuming all DC lights, so no need for an inverter, usually the battery must be replaced every 5 years.
Usually AirCon needs 320 watts, if you use a 100AH battery then
960 : 320 = 3 hours
To be lit for 12 hours it takes 4 batteries. need 2x watt AirCON, that means about 600watt (6 panels),
The 900watt inverter must be pure sinewave (PSW), the inverter wattage must be above the required number of watts AirCON, at least there is a distance of 300watt, 10 x 100wp solar panels
4 x 100AH VRLA batteries
1 x charger controller 50A
1 x 900watt PSW inverter
The risk of solar panels
1. The panel is broken due to hail or a ninja slips.
2. The battery must be replaced every 3-5 years.
3. House fire
4. Stolen
6. Confiscated debt collectors
The effectiveness of saving depends on the conditions.
Do you have to buy everything right away?
No, just pay in installments, buy a charger controller first, then the battery, then the solar panel, the target is mapped first,
Starting from the first lights that use solar panels, then reaching out to those that are enabled.
