The psychic said that my father had died because of black magic. The psychic even knew who had done it. Then he also said that my aura was very dark and needed to be cleansed. I asked him where I could cleanse my aura, and he replied, “Come back here.”

A few days later, my mother’s younger sister — the one who married a native man — came to my shop almost every day asking whether I had already cleansed my aura with the psychic. Then my second brother took me there to do the cleansing.

That day I finally discovered that the person who had clouded my aura was my mother’s younger sister’s native husband. He envied and hated me deeply. He wished for me to remain single forever, that everyone would hate me, and that I would never have any friends. He had cast black magic on me since I was a little girl.

He was jealous of my father’s success and knew that I was my father’s favorite daughter. That’s why he wanted to make me suffer — so that every man would see me as stubborn, unattractive, and lifeless, with no expression in my eyes or lips. No wonder no man ever looked at me when I was among my friends back in school.

He caused me to stumble often and live with endless bad luck. He wanted everyone to avoid me, hate me, and eventually leave me.

The psychic said that, in truth, I am a beautiful, honest, kind, innocent, and soft-hearted woman — with a lovely figure and the kind of woman many men would dream of. But because someone had blocked my aura, no one could see the real me.

If a man ever approached me, he would suddenly become angry with me for no reason, speak nonsense, and then walk away. The psychic told me not to be surprised when that happened — because it was all the effect of that man’s black magic.
